Tips for Turning Online Leads into New Dental Patients

Jul 12th, 2010 | Category: Ideas to Market Your Dental Practice

You have worked hard to create a Web site for your dental practice. But do you find that while you get hundreds of hits each week, converting prospects into dental patients falls short? The answer to boosting your conversion rate may be found by focusing on your landing page.

Your “landing page” is the page that comes up first when people find you online. Because you never get a second chance to make a first impression, here are three tips to turn online leads into new patients:

Simplify your content. Landing page content should appear in bullet form, not paragraphs. In addition, it should focus on the benefits of your dental practice, not the features. A visitor to your site is already interested, so why sell them on what you do? Instead, sell them on how they can benefit from your practice. Keep it short, simple and to the point.

Keep “conversion” in mind when using images. Using images on your landing page is a powerful way to attract the eye, but they are not risk free. For example, some images may distract potential patients from your main objective: to convert them into new dental patients! To drive visitors down the path to conversion, be sure that your imagery enhances your objective and does not detract from it.

Extend the engagement. Leverage your landing page to engage the dental patient beyond today. Do you have a Facebook page, a blog or a newsletter? Offer informative content that will continue to engage patients beyond their first visit to your Web site.
